PureShare Training in Las Vegas
PureShare developers can attend training sessions being offered in Las Vegas on February 20-23, 2012. Two training options will be offered in these three days running up to the annual PureShare User Group (PUG) event at Bally’s.
Two training courses – each three days in duration (9:00am-4:00pm) – will be offered:
- PureShare Active Metrics Fundamentals
- PureShare Active Metrics Advanced Training
The Fundamentals course is designed for those new to ActiveMetrics with an introduction to the process of creating dashboards using PureShare applications.
The Advanced Training course is designed for experienced PureShare developers and delves into topics such as working with data, dynamic charts, jQuery and more. In addition, new material has been added to this course for 2012:
- Using Google Chrome developer tools
- A jQuery primer
- Performance patterns
- Code organization and best practices for HTML, CSS and Java Script
- …and more.
The fee for each course is $1495.

ActiveMetrics 2.3 Released
PureShare ActiveMetrics 2.3 includes a new wizard-based setup utility and many other enhancements.
PureShare ActiveMetrics 2.3 includes a new wizard-based setup utility and many other enhancements.
The PureSetup wizard makes deployments, patches and settings a whiz to deal with. Setup is now easier and consolidated. Patches and database updates can be applied with the click of a button. You can license all applications from one convenient place. And, it’s now possible to change settings without editing files.
Release 2.3 also includes enhancements to source control, versioning, developer security, import/export, system backup, file management and much more.
Customers can now download Release 2.3 from the PureShare Wiki.

PUG2011 Sparked New Ideas, Brought Customers Together
The annual PureShare User Group (PUG) conference brings together PureShare customers, partners and staff for two days of education, discussion, product direction and camaraderie.
The 2011 event – the fifth annual PUG – featured an inspiring keynote presentation by ITIL and Continuous Service Improvement guru, George Spalding.
The agenda also included product roadmap insights, hands-on tutorials, customer case studies and the first PureShare Developer Summit. Attendee response to the event was enthusiastic, with 100% of attendees surveyed stating that the event either met or exceeded their goals.
For the third year, PUG was preceded by three days of PureShare classroom training, enabling PureShare customers to receive in-person hands-on ActiveMetrics training with peers from other organizations, directly from PureShare’s experts.
The PUG event is held annually at the end of February/beginning of March in Las Vegas.

The County of San Bernardino, CA - a PureShare customer - is included in this article, which proclaims that paper loss runs are now obsolete thanks to electronic, automated solutions such as San Bernardino County's "state-of-the-art" dashboard. "A robust system can save about 10 percent of claims costs."
San Bernardino County is the largest county in the United States and uses PureShare ActiveMetrics to automatically gather and assemble operational metrics from a variety of systems and databases including HR, Risk and Fleet Management. This results in “one clean picture of what is going on” throughout the entire county.
